Cloth diaper supplies

So, I've been away for awhile... A long while... But with good reason! I had a baby! A wonderful, sweet, darling little girl.

After almost 10 weeks, I feel I am emerging back into society a bit. Like we're getting the hang of it. I've been absent from the blogging world for months. I rarely read any blogs during my pregnancy. Now I've started poking around at my favorites and I'm thinking about projects I want to do.

I started and completed the Capucine hat (minus the tassels) today but my gauge was off and it was a bit small. It looked more like a pilot's cap. So, I'll frog that and start over. But it was nice to get my hands on yarn again on a project for myself. I forget to do things for myself... So knitting helps me to remind myself of myself. It helps to reconnect with the person inside who's not just a person attached to a booby.

I'm also going to give a try at hand quilting a small quilt for the babes. The quilt I'm going to hand stitch is a cheater's quilt. It's fabric that my friend gave me when i was pregnant with the baby. It is fabric that's already quilted! It's a soft flannel with brown minky fabric too. So cute! Right now I have the fabric draped over the back of the rocker in the nursery and Violet loves looking at it while we're hanging out.

While poking around at Joann.com I saw their Babyville section under Sew and Quilt. It is a special section for sewing items for babies like cloth diapers (!), diaper bags, etc. They also have the waterproof fabric for sale. Check out the Babyville section. I love that they have the fancy snaps. I see those on the cloth diapers on Etsy and I always thought they were super fancy that they were able to get the professional-looking snaps... But you can just get the at Joann's!

I hope to post more now that I've come back to life a bit.

Xoxo

Hi there, and welcome back. It was nice to see you in my reader once again. Congratulations to you and your family! And thanks for the link to the Capucine hat. I will file that one away for the future.
